Chris Watts is the President & CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania, a leader in early learning, youth programming and workforce development that serves thousands of children across the region. Most recently, Chris was the Vice President of District Development for the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP), where he is responsible for advancing investments and projects that improve the quality of life in Downtown Pittsburgh. Prior to joining the PDP, Chris was appointed Executive Director of the congressionally chartered National Fitness Foundation, where he developed a unique public-private model and pioneered new strategies that delivered millions of dollars to schools across the country to address childhood health & fitness. Previously, Chris built the social enterprise 4POINT4, an innovative sportswear company that donates proceeds to charity. From 2010 to 2014 Chris served in the Obama Administration, where he led corporate and community partnerships for the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition in support of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let's Move! Initiative. Prior to graduate school, Chris began his career as a sustainability & transportation engineering analyst at Kimley Horn. A proud Pittsburgh native with an engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Chris earned an MBA from George Washington University and is engaged in local community development as an active board member of Strip District Neighbors, Walk Bike Shaler, and Never Fear Being Different (NFBD).
