I worked in Quality Assurance, specifically in the testing and grading of both incoming raw berries and outgoing final product.Testing involved following written SOPs to take a representative sample and determine the percentage of defects. The results were used for billing and quality scores.Lab work included monitoring and maintaining proper ORP levels in the wash water, periodic environmental testing for E. coli, Listeria, etc, final product testing and verification of customer specifications, as well as ensuring that proper sanitation procedures were being followed before, after and during product runs. Once the testing was complete, data was entered into the system to be used for reporting to management and customers.
