So it's been a dream of mine to figure out how to apply my software development experience to something that could help musicians. Mainly because I've been a long-time musician myself. I studied composition extensively in high school and college and even performed in bands for a decade or so.After working with some rap artists and producers just prior to the pandemic, I realized we still don't have enough great tools for audio creators. I've been excited to try to help organize and share music without having to publish it. Myxt is an effort to make our audio lives easier.

In 2018 I met an entrepreneur with extensive experience in LATAM and global enterprise who had an idea to use corporate data acquisition and maps to help build a system to better understand and reduce the impact of crime. She started a company and together we began Tierra, a geographic data analysis platform. With a small, dedicated team I led product development, including extensive engineering and design, operations, and strategic feature development. It was fun to build and the team is amazing and Tierra is now fully operational in Mexico and ready to expand.

Couples are the world’s most common social arrangement crossing all cultural, social, age, and financial boundaries. They communicate often (and first). They shop together. They are world consumers worth trillions in sales and attention.Apps for couples are solving problems by making everyday life simpler. Avocado is aiming to be the software ecosystem and experience for couples everywhere in the world.At least...that's the plan. After having the idea in 2011, I started development that winter and then formed a company with a funny, smart, and creative team a few months later. Millions of downloads and users later, our small team is lucky enough to think we might have a thing. We'll see. For now, I'm just grateful people seem to love using it.

We made Brizzly, Brizzly Picnics, The Brizzly Guide, Let's Be Trends, and some other things that were adorned by a very cute bear. Great times.

I was picked to lead a team within Twitter on a consultant basis that would help users by creating a feature to extend and improve behavior they were already engaged in as "retweeting". Hard work and fun times were had among great people.

A grateful, satisfied former employee of Google. Most notably, in my spare time (i.e. the famed "20 precent time") I started a project which became Google Reader. It became a real project thanks to the care and effort that has come from a great group of talented people who were dedicated to making it a useful part of many people's lives. It'll be missed.

Worked on web frontend engineering for a B2B retail startup. Created a lookbook for inventory and a management spreadsheet for sales exchanges that had to work as flexibly as Google Spreadsheets, but way, way before that was even remotely possible in browsers. My fingers still hurt from this.
