Chris is an independent consultant with deep experience in insurance and financial services. Formerly Chief Strategy Officer and VP Operational Effectiveness at RSA Canada, Chris now leverages his 20+ years of experience in advising Executive teams, CEOs and Boards. From strategic direction setting and executive facilitation to operational planning and business development, Chris supports clients in a variety of ways. In addition to his strategic skill set and strong business acumen, Chris also provides executive coaching, and has significant experience drafting Board level presentations and CEO level communications. Chris holds the ICD.D designation, having completed the Rotman Directors Education Program at the University of Toronto in 2016.Prior to 2015 Chris held several roles at RSA Canada including Vice President, Corp. Strategy; Director, Corp. Strategy, Corp. Partnerships, Growth Initiatives & Distribution; Director, Corp. Strategy, Corp. Partnerships & Personal Specialty Insurance; Director, Strategic Development & Change Management; and Director, Strategic Development & Communications. Chris also program managed RSA's turnaround and strategic change program from 2002-2005, establishing RSA’s PMO (Program Management Office), and led an International Sales Effectiveness Program in 2005-2006. Prior to joining RSA in 2001, Chris was a management consultant with Mitchell Madison Group focusing on Strategy, Sourcing, Project/Program Management, Logistics, Media Relations and Change Management. Clients included NewsCorp, CP Rail, CSFB, Royal Bank, RSA, Xerox, Sears and United Way International. Chris has a BA Hons., Political Science & Philosophy and Bachelor of Journalism from the University of King's College/Dalhousie in Halifax, and MSc International Relations from the London School of Economics.
