I've spent a vast chunk of my life understanding the intricacies of human behavior and their practical relationship with business! Drawing from his diverse background, which includes extensive experience in engineering, health coaching, and psychology, I feel fortuitously positioned to guide individuals and businesses towards realizing their full potential in this eco-system! Dan & Katina at Ironhood Fitness have had a vision to create a stand out Lifestyle & Wellness centre in the heart of Christchurch since I started at the club as a PT. This vision is now becoming a reality the club has been conceptualised, it's place of residence identified and the concept is being brought to life as I write.This club will provide a significant change in not only the landscape of the cities gym culture but will provide the professionals under its banner with a secure, team focused and growth ready culture. In 2021 the two companies I work for will take their moment to align their desire for change in the Health industry and the broad impact on the societies and the populations they reach will only amplify. The faster this influence grows the better the quality of life in this communities. The role saw me undertake equipment maintenance and repair tasks on SATCOM's. A system that requires high reliability for Operational end users demands speedy fault resolution so that uplinks are maintained. Therefore, methodical working practices and analytical skills are pivotal to be effective here. Alongside this maintenance of the related ICT equipment’s required I manage the upgrade: high clearance networks. installation of VOIP mesh & External Broadband systems. These tasks were secondary to my role but due to my previous experience I was utilized locally as a POC for high profile ICT tasks.Career Path;2003-2004 DCAE Cosford BTEC. City and Guilds apprenticeship in Communications Engineering2004-2009 RAF Valley Network Admin2009-2011 RAF Honington, Network Admin,2011-2013 Ground Radar Technician2013-Present promoted to CPL RAF Oakhanger, Satellite communications TechnicianRole - Network Administrator - Dates Employed Aug 2004 – Jul 2009 - Location RAF ValleyMy Career began in a CIS Network Administrator role at RAF Valley, home of fast jet training. Here the learning curve was steep, thrust initially into facilitating several major upgrades to what was a Window NT based system working with a team of 6 to bring a 600 terminal network up to Windows 2000. This was run simultaneously with an upgrade to 40% of the end user systems. In this period, I broadened my technical skills whilst also developing a knowledge of project management within a CIS environment. The latter stage of this process saw me manage the upgrade of an organizational unit some 100 terminals strong. Professional Development - network, including; Microsoft Exchange 5.5, Microsoft NT admin, Microsoft Win2K Network Essentials and Microsoft Active Directory. -
Network Administrator, Airfield Radar TechnicianRoyal Air Force (Raf) Mar 2007 - Feb 2012Honington, England, United KingdomNetwork System Administrator & Airfield Radar Technician - RAF HoningtonArriving at RAF Honington saw a change in my role within the section dynamic. I took a lead within Network Administration due to my previous experience. This afforded me new opportunities to work as a project manager and subsequently I supervised the execution of a full network software upgrade to Windows XP. By developing a method for disseminating a remote OS installation that I had seen at my previous station I saved countless man hours. While simultaneously running Hardware upgrades to 40% of the end-user systems, shortly followed by a complete Network Backbone upgrade. Then the role consisted largely of addressing faults that had accrued during upgrade and small project installations. This period was particularly challenging and saw me spearhead a team of my peers to strive for maximum customer satisfaction. The focus was to improve our reputation with the customers after a period flux. The final act at Honington was to carry out a full upgrade to the servers in a two-man Team including Exchange, File and backup server installations. Concurrently the challenge of a tour in the Falklands during my time at Honington honed my ability to blend quickly into a team and I achieved promotion to the rank of Corporal.Ground Radar technicians in the RAF are charged with the responsibility of maintaining highest equipment availability, thus ensuring the regional Air Traffic picture is available 24/7. This high tempo high pressure fault finding environment demands the resolution of faults, to ensure minimum impact on the end user. This pressure was an exciting challenge and motivator throughout my time at Honington and included third line on site fault rectification. This Role saw me expand my trade knowledge to new systems such as the Watchman and TACAN-beacon Radar.
