Intergraph's proven market leading capabilities in such fields as Information Management & Collaboration are now driving success into the AEC sector and BIM relevant projects, with an innovative, fully SAAS solution that will enhance how AEC construction projects are managed and successfully delivered.HxGN SMART Build.I was involved from the very initial inception and research/analysis of the 'concept' of an AEC /BIM solution from Intergraph/Hexagon back in Q2 2013 and saw this… Show more Intergraph's proven market leading capabilities in such fields as Information Management & Collaboration are now driving success into the AEC sector and BIM relevant projects, with an innovative, fully SAAS solution that will enhance how AEC construction projects are managed and successfully delivered.HxGN SMART Build.I was involved from the very initial inception and research/analysis of the 'concept' of an AEC /BIM solution from Intergraph/Hexagon back in Q2 2013 and saw this through to release of v1 in July 2016.As Vice President for Global Business Development for this new product my role included:- Reporting directly to the Senior VP (SVP) for Building Solutions (Mr. Kevin Holmes)- Continual interaction with VP of Product Ownership - Direct input (and delivery against) with SVP to HxGN SMART Build Business Plan and Sales Strategy- Managing a globally dispersed Business Development Team- Driving Business Development strategies for identifying, developing and securing new business, in new business sector for Intergraph- Market and trend analysis to ensure our direction was aligned with real industry need- Knowledge sharing via presentations, keynotes & sessions a events, conferences, webcasts etc to all stakeholders, internal and external- Prospect/Client workshops to understand their need and our solution and presenting this back to the prospect/client- Support and as requested input to the review/due diligence process during acquisitions- Utilising my experience in Construction & Project Controls as a S.M.E during the continual development and enhancement of the solution- Communicating field findings from prospect visits back to product development teamsThe role was both challenging & engaging, requiring that 'tasks', critical or otherwise, be delivered on time, against tight deadlines and to a very high quality standard.
