- As a member of the core development team for "NCR Back Office" I worked in an Agile/Scrum environment to complete various tasks such as defect resolution, performance tuning and new feature development as well as unit testing and minor BDD.- Technologies used were SQL Server, C-Sharp and Visual Basic as the core while utilizing LINQ, Scala, TFS and Git for support.- NCR Back Office is a restaurant management software system that is installed on the desktop and integrates with several point of sale systems and accounting packages. - Tools - Jira, Confluence, Git, Source Tree, Visual Studio 2017/2019, Team City, TFS, VB.NET, C#, SQL, LINQ, Gatling, Eclipse for Scala, NUnit, BDD, Resharper, Slack, MS Teams

- Assisted/mentored developers and management with complex SQL and SQL processes (stored procedures, functions, scheduled jobs, etc...). - Create databases as needed. - Create and schedule SQL jobs - Compare development and production environments against each other to ensure all objects are in sync when projects when deployed to production. - Optimized database queries and SQL objects when performance was suboptimal eliminating various bottlenecks and non-optimal code by rewriting the process or adding the appropriate indexes and keys as required.- Write and schedule SSIS packages for various ETL processes- Set up replication between internal servers as well as client servers- Set up log shipping between datacenters for redundancy. - Index/query/database optimization

- Lead team in developing commissions and compensation plans as designed by the clients. - Commissions and compensation plans are written in SQL using stored procedures, user defined functions, triggers, scheduled jobs and views. Some commission runs require imports of payment files in preparation to pay out, in these cases we built various SSIS packages and when required custom import utilities. - Assisted and instructed client teams on how to verify the validity of commission runs and would advise teams how to make minor adjustments to their own commission processes. Also created reports to assist with verification of commission runs. - Oversaw the conversion of all VB6 applications to .Net. - Verified validity of source code repository backups.

- Mentored small team of developers working on the same call center and back office software mentioned above. - Assisted and advised developers on various projects such as adding reports to the back office or consuming 3rd party web services.- Responsible for maintaining various back end applications such as emailers, billing apps, data import, load apps and packing slip applications. - Developed Data Paradigm’s first set of ASP and SQL development standards. - Retrofit a VB app from being purely database-driven to being purely web service driven to get around the corporate firewall and enable the printing of packing slips at a client’s warehouse.

Maintained and added features to call center software and field agent/distributor software (“the back office”) for various medium to large MLM companies utilizing Classic ASP and SQL Server 2005/2008. Received and processed feature requests or bug reports from the client team lead.

Designed, wrote and supported several components of an order enter/processing system that was specifically designed for drop shipping customer orders to specified locations as well as integrating into back office accounting packages utilizing VB 6.0, SQL Server 7/2000, Crystal 8.5 and several versions of Platinum For Windows. Hosted, designed and implemented niche dating/personals website utilizing ASP 3.0 on Windows 2000 Server and SQL Server 2000 on Windows 2000 Server.

Develop and maintain tanning salon management/POS and hair/nail salon management/POS software for retail sale utilizing Visual Basic 6.0, MS Access, SQL, DAO, Windows API and various third party controls.
