Led and trained a light infantry platoon of 38 personnel in preparation for a combat deployment to Iraq providing security for logistical convoys. Planned and supervised over 60 combat missions in Iraq, resulting in successful accomplishment of all missions. Reviewed and adjusted tactics, techniques, and procedures to counter ever changing enemy tactics. Planned and led an intra-theater operation as the ground commander for over 200 Soldiers and 100 vehicles transporting and providing security for key equipment being moved between remote bases in Northern Iraq and Kuwait, resulting in all equipment reaching its destination on schedule. Developed and implemented maintenance plans and accountability procedures to sustain organizational equipment valued at almost $10 million. The intensive maintenance plan achieved an operational readiness rate in excess of 90% despite an aggressive operational tempo and was the highest platoon rate in the company.
