2024 is my 18th year of working in public accounting with Boyum Barenscheer and my fifth as a partner in the firm. I am the head of the Tax department at the firm. I volunteered with Prepare & Prosper for 23 consecutive years reviewing tax returns at a site for low income taxpayers before taking a break in 2024. I have an MBT degree from University of Minnesota and I am a Licensed CPA in Minnesota. I am a proud AICPA Leadership Academy graduate from 2014.Specialties: Employee Retention Credit strategy and calculations. Helping clients understand their tax situations and businesses. I mostly work with salon owners and real estate professionals and expats. Providing presentations and training for clients, colleagues, and other tax professionals. I'm always trying to move myself, the firm, and the profession forward. I enjoy a variety of volunteering opportunities with the AICPA to help move the profession forward.In January 2022 I started working part time to help achieve work-life balance. My goal is 1800 total hours per year, 50 during tax season and 30 outside of tax season.
