The Professional Construction Estimators Association of America, Inc. was chartered in 1956, by members of various construction disciplines from the Charlotte, NC area. During those early years the members rallied together to exchange ideas, promote educational endeavors and high ethical standards for Construction industry estimators. Today’s National association holds true to those founding principles. The purpose and objective of the organization is to further the recognition of construction estimating as a professional field within the construction industry. To collect and disseminate information that will increase the efficiency of all phases of construction, promote good will between the various phases of construction, obtain a more thorough understanding of the various problems confronting the construction industry. PCEA members have always been active in the promotion of construction education for the betterment of the industry. Each chapter coordinates, develops and establishes programs to assist and enhance the educational development. The Chapters support scholarships to local students, looking to continue their careers in the construction industry.
