We built the largest online community of oncologists sharing best practices and knowledge about the use of molecular information and targeted therapies for difficult cancer cases. MedTrust was acquired by a Silicon Valley genomic data analysis company in 2011.

Clients included large technology companies, healthcare providers, and professional societies, as well as other various entities in the ecosystem of technology and care provider companies translating science discoveries into new therapies.

I started operations for the Australian Innovation Exchange Network, a government-funded organization promoting intellectual property exchange between high technology companies and research and development organizations in the healthcare and life sciences industry.

Now ThermoFisher Life Sciences, formerly Life Technologies, Applied Biosystems provided DNA sequencing technologies for the Life Sciences market. I helped start the initiatives to market ABI instruments and services to the clinical market by creating strategic marketing campaigns worldwide to bring molecular information to the clinic through genotyping and other genetic analyses.

As Strategy and Planning head for IBM’s Information Based Medicine Business Unit, I developed and helped execute on key business development milestones to enable IBM to capitalize on the growing field of personalized medicine information. I regularly developed and presented strategic plans to senior executive leaders in strategy at IBM, and I facilitated relationships with several high profile partners.

As Senior Director of Strategic Alliances, I managed the key relationships with large IT companies for the company including building the first electronic lab notebook with a large technology provider as a complete enterprise solution for the life sciences, resulting in key sales in the pharmaceutical industry.

As founder of BioProtocol, I conceived, planned, and raised the initial critical capital and key advisors for the first online repository of scientific protocols for the life sciences. BioProtocol built a board of eminent molecular biologists and geneticists willing to share all of their proprietary laboratory protocols for the dissemination to the scientific community. BioProtocol also developed one of the first e-commerce systems for the purchase of scientific kits based on protocol reagents and techniques in shared protocols.
