I worked for 2 years as a Graphic Designer before I was promoted to include the position as Business Manager which I thoroughly enjoyed for a further 2 years, until I left on maternity leave. As Graphic Designer / Business Manager I was involved in overseeing staff, hiring new staff, estimating jobs, invoicing and meeting monthly targets along with anything required in the day to day running of the business. As a Graphic Designer I worked on multiple projects, including books, prospectuses, magazines, advertising, branding, flyers and an array of publications. This work included small business clients through to larger brands such as The University of Waikato where ensuring brand continuity was a must. From concept design work through to layup, print preparation, photoshop work and art direction for photo shoots. I absolutely enjoyed this job, I had the best boss ever and was sad to be leaving but unfortunately the commute wasn't going to work in with family life.

Providing print and design services for the following group of companies: Hynds Pipe Systems Ltd, Hynds Environmental Ltd, Hygrade Water Ltd and Gillies Metaltech Ltd. This involved taking photographs of product and projects on site, interpreting briefs, designing new logos, brochures, advertisements, posters, business stationary, newsletters, Christmas cards, invitations and establishing a new corporate design look and branding guidelines. I also managing ninety product datasheets, updating, designing, printing, distributing and uploading to an internal library and website.I also was responsible for liaising with printing companies, branch team members, managers and directors nationwide, in order to get jobs done quickly and with the correct information.

Designing a range of print items, including contributions to a modern look Christmas card and wedding invitation range for Serenity Cards. Preparing files for offset/digital printing, foiling or die lines. Communicating with customers and interpreting briefs.
