Supported executive leadership team by ensuring quality, management, and dissemination of funding information for statewide Capital Programs. -Wrote automated data management program which reduced reporting time from a full day to 7 minutes by producing reliably accurate bi-weekly funding reports for the executive team: -Reduced paper waste by 50% (from more than 29,000 pages annually) and eliminated redundancies in reporting (reducing bi-weekly reports from 17 to 10), improving both usability and efficiency. -Created Adobe .Pdf Portfolios as “digital binders” which were sortable, searchable, and editable based on end-user needs; reduced time to produce report binders from 4 hours to 20 minutes. -Initiated and led project to create centralized, version-controlled SharePoint site based around needs and technical abilities of target users; has been fully operational and glitch-free for over 12 months: -Designed and led webinar-based training to gain buy-in from older users with entrenched habits. Maintained inventory of all State-owned roadway assets, which was reported to the Federal Highway Administration. -Repaired and managed system which uses complex algorithms to convert county log miles into state log miles and vice versa, significantly improving data accuracy of state roadway asset management efforts. -Designed and implemented process improvements for INDOT’s Inventory Management Group, in charge of 60+ roadway asset categories, using GIS data. -Ran Highway Performance Management System, an annual federal reporting structure for all state-owned roadway assets with complex rules and requirements for each category: -Performed extensive data mining to organize and structure data, conducted QA/QC to repair errors and improve data accuracy, and created systems to improve efficiency of process for following year. -Created and implemented standard operating procedures for data reporting from local partners. -Served as Liaison and Security Coordinator to Indiana Office of Technology to support Help Desk inquiries and roll-out new systems and software. -Identified training gaps in basic Microsoft Office program use. Designed and led novice and intermediate end-user training programs for Excel and Access for department staff, eliminating the problem. -Created first web presence for department on INDOT’s internet site. Determined primary categories of inquiry and leveraged existing resources to quickly and inexpensively post relevant resources. -Significantly reduced volume of information requests and improved department productivity.
