With over 30 years of experience as an architect, Chris has led a diverse portfolio of complex projects ranging from commercial developments to transportation centers and highly specialized research facilities throughout the United States and internationally. Chris brings the collaborative spirit of integrated design to his projects, working closely with clients, pursuing common goals of maximizing building performance and minimizing environmental impacts while providing dynamic, healthy and resilient low carbon built environments for people.As Principal at Ennead, Chris helps lead the commercial group consisting of commercial mixed use, office, corporate headquarters, life science, industrial, and residential projects. Prior to joining Ennead, Chris was Managing Director at Allied Works, where he was responsible for managing the firm’s strategic, financial and operational activities, while overseeing all projects in the New York office. He also served as Managing Principal for ZGF Architects in New York. As Managing Principal, Chris was part of the leadership team responsible for developing and managing a new office for the firm, cultivating client relationships, new business development, project management, and staff recruiting and mentoring. Prior to joining ZGF, Chris was a Senior Associate Principal and firm-wide Head of Sustainable Design for KPF, where he played a key role as project manager, project architect, and sustainability director on a number of diverse building types, including healthcare and academic research facilities, government projects, transportation facilities and commercial buildings. As Head of Sustainable Design for KPF Chris advised and provided firm-wide sustainable design leadership for projects around the world.
