• Giving first aid to medical emergency cases in the company for employees.• Responsible for referring patients to the accredited physicians.• Prepares and releases of letter of authorization for consultations and medical procedures requested by the accredited physicians.• Responsible in explaining the benefits covered within the company’s policy.• Responsible in making monthly reports on the clinic census of consultations and utilizations of the member’s availments.• Assisting surgeons in performing surgery.• Responsible in interviewing, hiring qualified applicants, assessments and conducts training of medical practioners (doctors, nurses, medical technicians, etc).• Ensures quality service for clients.

Philippines

• Ensures an effective delivery of health service to the member: Provides adequate information regarding the plan upon admission Coordinates with members of the medical team on the treatment program Facilitates payment of the other charges not covered by the plan Motivates the patient to adhere to the prescribed treatment program Assist the member on other matters which may be non-medical in scope• Coordinates with Credit and Collection personnel on billing related matters.• Coordinates with Medical Providers on the following: Provides updates on changes in policies Progress of payment of services rendered Gathering essential information necessary for medical evaluation Discharge planning of hospitalized cases• Maintains a good interpersonal relationship with the internal and external customers.• Encourage the Medical Providers to support cost effective management of diseases.• Ensures availability of facilities as needed during transfer of admissions.• Attends weekly liaison officers meeting.• Arrange for other related services that maybe necessary after confinement.• Ensures quality, accuracy, and timeless of medical information.• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

• Assesses the patient upon entering the ER.• Enforcing medical triage to patients.• Assisting on minor surgeries (wound suturing, dressing, etc.)• Performing Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation on life threatening circumstances.• Giving emergency medications as per doctor’s order.• Checking of the amount and appearance of discharges of post-operative patients.• Checking intravenous insertion site for leakage and tissue infiltration and change site or dressing if necessary.• Attaches and drainage apparatus when drainage is to be collected in a bottle from cholecystectomy tube, indwelling catheters, chest tubes, etc.• Assesses the individual’s needs for nursing based on the history, results of physical, diagnostic and laboratory exams.• Giving nasogastric tube feedings if the patient is unable to swallow as ordered and preventing aspiration and ensure adequate respiratory ventilation.• Performing external cardiac massage (CPR) in case patient is in cardiac or respiratory arrest and administer any emergency drugs as directed.• Frequent observe and evaluate the patient for any sign that might indicate the onset of complications, carry out repeated clinical examinations to determine changes in the patient’s status.• Provides health teaching to patient, his family and significant others so that they will understand their illness and participate actively in his care.• Evaluates/modifies nursing care provided in terms of effectiveness and efficiency of nursing measures rendered, feedback from patient/family/significant others.• Conducts discharge planning with patient’s family and health team. Refers to community, health agencies as needed.• Executes written, legal prescriptions for treatment therapist, medications including hypodemic, intramuscular/intravenous injections providing that, IV injections training shall be required and according to protocol established.
