Process Owner Manager
CurrentAs the Howmet Engine Systems Process Owner Manager for the Dover NJ location, I am responsible for leading a team of engineers that are the site technical owners and experts of the key critical processes for the Directionally solidified Single Crystal, Polycrystal & Equiax investment casting processes. Key critical processes include Alloy, Ceramic Core, Wax, Monoshell, Casting, Heat Treat, Core Removal and Chemical. Using a disciplined set of tools, including statistical process control, 6 Sigma principles, FMEA, Process Management and more; processes are characterized for capability and identification of critical process variables. This is deployed to understand the most important and impactful sub-processes to ensure that these activities are in control and sustainable leading to product integrity and customer satisfaction.Goals include standardization of processes between facilities through compliance to specific and detailed Corporate requirements, common implementation of new techniques or technologies and development of new technology for application in Process Owner managed areas. Complete reports back to corporate for tracking the performance of site process owner managed areas and perform continuous improvement activities as technology and knowledge advances. This is monitored at the highest levels of the organization to help direct required resource for success.Adherence to strict corporate standards within the site drives the highest level of business performance through critical metrics such as yield, throughput, labor utilization, bottom line financial metrics and most importantly highest value to our customers. Data driven decisions, based on business impact, are key to supplying quality components that meet or exceed expectations.
