I started my career in the Engineering field as an Engineering Technician for a small company in York Pennsylvania and while studying at Penn State’s York Campus I was promoted to a senior position making me responsible for project design and development. In 2006 I, along with two business partners, started my own Electrical Contracting business. This new company serviced several sectors of the industry with a focus on the Building Automation market, with customers that included Siemens Building Technologies, Trane, and Johnson Controls. I also created and managed a UL listed panel shop that handled projects from design to fabrication. Tiring of the ups and downs of ownership after 4 years I decided to sell my interest in the company to my remaining partner.I then secured a position as an Estimator/Project Manager for Monacacy Valley Electric out of Littlestown, PA. Some of the projects I worked on at MVE include; Gettysburg Well House #10 – Gettysburg, PA,; Bergman Eye Center – Hagerstown, MD; South Middleton SCADA System – Boiling Springs, PA; and Pump Station #9 – Greencastle, PA. In late 2012, I joined Gettle Incorporated as an Estimator where I handled plan and specification take-offs as well as design and build take-offs. I also work with Gettle’s panel shop staff on pricing and design of new projects. Some of the projects that I have secured in my time at Gettle include; Logan Township Amazon Distribution Center (approx $10M), Hagerstown Logstics Amazon Distribution Center (approx $11M), Nordstrom Elizabethtown Distribution Center (approx $8M), Turkey Hill New Warehouse and Maintenance Facility (approx $2.5M), Holy Spirit Med Flex 4th Floor (aprrox $405K) and the Hillside Cafe ($120K).I’m currently a member of the Babcock & Wilcox Solar Division's Estimating Team and I'm excited to be a part of this ever growing sector of the industry. On a daily basis I’m involved in initial/conceptual designs (both array layouts and SLD development) as well as pricing exercises that put me in touch with industry manufacturers, vendors and subcontractors. I’ve been lucky enough to be engaged in projects ranging from 5MWdc to 500MWdc. I look forward to future challenges and opportunities whatever size they may be.
