Chuck Lasley is the Director of IT Application Development for Dillard’s. He has been a member of Dillard’s Information Technology team since joining the company in 1992 as a programmer trainee. He has held numerous positions including programmer/analyst, team lead, application manager, and director. In this position, Chuck has been responsible for overseeing the creation, enhancement and maintenance of numerous leading-edge applications to perform the necessary business functions supporting a major fashion retailer. These systems include, but are not limited to: eCommerce, store operations, inventory planning and management, replenishment, order entry, electronic data interchange, eCommerce integration, customer reservations, registries, private label sourcing, transportation and logistics, warehousing and distribution, payroll, financial reporting and accounting. In addition to his duties as an IT Director, Chuck has also been spearheading Dillard’s RFID research and implementation efforts since 2008 and has recently added Sunrise 2027 with GS1 Digital Link to his list of priority initiatives. In addition to serving on the GS1 US Cross-Industry RFID Discussion Group and the 2D Barcode Work Group, Chuck has worked with the University of Arkansas and Auburn University’s RFID labs and has been a guest lecturer at Mississippi State University. He has been a formal presenter or panel member at many distinguished events including the Fast Company Innovation Festival, GS1 US Connect, the International RFID Congress in Lille, France, EuroShop, RFID Journal Live!, Aberdeen Retail Leadership Summit, and American Apparel & Footwear Association. Chuck graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Business.
