Coordinates all nonstandard Air Force Software certification through the Air Force Network Integration Center testing and evaluation process. Ensures Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software is obtained under Department of Defense wide and Air Force Enterprise Licenses rather than individual client or server purchases when cost effective. Administers anti-virus scans on all incoming software and oversees the process is documented to ensure all software is free of malicious code and/or network/computer viruses. Conducts scans of the network to identify unauthorized software and remediates/removes all non-compliant software and provides user information to Information Assurance for user recertification training. Provided annual training to approximately 4000 users to ensure they do not install freeware, shareware, or personally-owned software on government systems. Disposal authority for expired or no longer utilized software in accordance with vendor licensing agreement and Air Force directives. -
