Provides cradle-to-grave oversight for all software acquisitions, installations and tracking of 347 government and commercial software licenses utilized within the Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center. Conducts an annual inventory of licenses and documents the results to be certified by the Commander. Coordinates all nonstandard Air Force Software certification through the Air Force Network Integration Center testing and evaluation process. Ensures Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software is obtained under Department of Defense wide and Air Force Enterprise Licenses rather than individual client or server purchases when cost effective. Administers anti-virus scans on all incoming software and oversees the process is documented to ensure all software is free of malicious code and/or network/computer viruses. Conducts scans of the network to identify unauthorized software and remediates/removes all non-compliant software and provides user information to Information Assurance for user recertification training. Provided annual training to approximately 4000 users to ensure they do not install freeware, shareware, or personally-owned software on government systems. Disposal authority for expired or no longer utilized software in accordance with vendor licensing agreement and Air Force directives.

Provided vulnerability remediation for over 5000 networked/stand-a-lone workstations and medical Information Technology devices ensuring assets are hardened from external/internal threats. Managed the Platform Information Technology and Medical Software certification programs for Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center coordinating test and evaluation of systems through the Air Force Surgeon General. Conducted computer forensics on Information Technology devices identified by the Air Force Network Operations Center ensuring data integrity and chain of custody for legal review and/or prosecution. Provided remediation briefings and training for network users identified by the 561st Network Operations Squadron for violating network security protocols. Administers Time Compliance Network and Maintenance Tasking Orders compliance for 82 network servers coordinating Cyber Command directed upgrades with 34 Functional Server Administrators. Project manager for McAfee Data-At-Rest deployment for all Wilford Hall portable IT assets, ensuring full drive encryption for laptop and external hard drives to secure HIPAA, PII, and Privacy Act patient information.

Provided oversight for planning, developing and integrating information system hardware and software, to include all baseline and non-baseline assets, within the 693 ISR Gp and subordinate squadrons. Coordinated complex projects, programs and upgrades ensuring the success of all phases of development, implementation, and tracking throughout the project deployment lifecycle. Ensured operational and maintenance communities concerns are successfully integrated into program design process through the utilization of strong organizational, presentation and customer service skills. Managed and validated 693 ISR Gp and subordinate units information technology higher headquarters, data calls, taskers and suspenses through multitasking and effectively juggle competing priorities. Supervised proactive security functions established to assist Air Force organizations in deterring, detecting, isolating, containing, and recovery from information system and network security intrusions. Directed installation and monitoring of proactive and reactive network information protection defensive measures to ensure the availability, integrity, and reliability of networked and stand-alone resources. Directed merger of Medical Group PIX and base Sidewinder firewalls--mitigated possible intrusion by isolating one network inbound path.saved $80K per year by consolidating firewalls and firewall administrators. Authored 1st ever wing network accreditation package; fully certified for 3 yrs--$80K in funding saved. Wing lead for migrating Little Rock websites to AF Portal--completed 26 percent ahead of AETC deadline. Configured/maintained mail relays denying access of 250K spam/viruses to enterprise enclave monthly.
