Still employed with IPS. Helping our drivers comply with DOT regulations. Do the permitting of the OS/OW equipment. On the safety side I give the morning safety meeting with the crews. Do location audits, Facility audit and make sure all employees work safe and use proper PPE.

Operated a 2" coil unit and moved over to the DOT department. Permitting of os/ow equipment, registration and doing safety. The safety consisted of Location Audits, Facility audits and the everyday safety protocol with the employees. Holding daily safety meetings at the yard and in the field.

Seadrift

I was hired on by TGS as their trainer / safety man for the Dow Seadrift site. I would train the new hires as well as recertify the employees that were already employed. I did the training for 7 months and then was moved into the managers position. I would do the hiring of new employees and manage the movement of the railcars needed for all the plants units so that the units could get the product out on time so they could meet strict deadlines.

Houston Ship Channel / Stolt Neilson

I responsible for the transfer of chemicals from Ships to shore tanks and also shore tank to ships. I also worked on the loading and the unloading of tank railcars to ships or to shore tanks along with verifying that all proper paper work was in order along with proper MSDS and any PPE that maybe needed to complete the chemical transfer being that a lot of the chemicals were extremely hazardous and required SCBA's to complete the transfer. I jointed plant Fire and Safety team and attended /completed level II Industrial fire fighting school at Texas A&M fire fighting training center.

Alvin Tx.

Hired on with BJ as my first oilfield job. Started out as a ground hand and worked my way up to pump operator. Learned the pump and then moved onto learning and running coil. I also was able to attend Engineering Handbook to help me learn more about coil. I wanted to learn more so I started attending safety classes (Train The Trainer) so that I could help others to be safe and that's when my safety interest started.
