Hello,My name is Charles Shepherd, retired Navy Submarine Sonar Technician with 14 strategic deterrent patrol missions to my credit. I was a member of the Nuclear Weapons Reliability Program for over 10 years and held a Top-Secret Security Clearance. I was a qualified Sonar Supervisor and served on 4 different classes of ICBM submarine platforms. In 2008, I used my G.I. Bill benefits to return to college where I graduated from Missouri State University in May of 2012 with a B.Sc. in Geology/GIS. Now, among other things, I am a qualified Deepwater Mudlogger/Data Engineer, trained in remote and insitu formation evaluation, gas analysis and the monitoring of drilling parameters for well control for such companies as Chevron, Shell, Petrobras, Marathon and Sanchez Energy to name a few. I am certified in Deepwater Well Control by Intertek Training in Houston, TX. I also have training as a Wellsite Geologist, Geosteering Consultant and Senior Mudlogger working the south Texas Eagle Ford Shale, Haynesville Shale, the SCOOP/STACK in Oklahoma, the Uintah Basin in Utah and the Permian and Delaware Basins of West Texas/Eastern New Mexico. For the last 2 years I have been working in the field mudlogging the Permian and Delaware Basins of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico for Edge Systems. I have extensive training in SES and StarSteer Geosteering platforms along with Wellsite, T-log, Mainlog and Red Box, Blue Box and FID experience.
