Responsible for project management, mine planning, project engineering and design, production planning and providing technical support for mining operations. - Managed $15M feasibility studies for a new mine development in North Carolina; delivered on time and under budget. The studies included: mine exploration, lease acquisition and permitting, mine planning, metallurgical testing, water resource development and concentrator relocation with mineral separation plant upgrade. - Managed the restart of mining operations for one of three Virginia production sites. The project scope included land preparation, plant maintenance, infrastructure development, permitting, staffing, and development of capital and operational budgets.

Managed two mine sites and associated mineral processing facilities. Areas of accountability included: budgeting, cost performance, safety and environmental controls, mine development, tailings disposal, reclamation and management of personnel and contractors. Operations employed approximately 70 FTEs and 60-80 FT contractors. Financial responsibilities included operating budgets of $25M per year, and capital budgets from $500k to $6M per year.- Oversight for operational aspects of a new mine development and associated relocation of all equipment and concentrator to a new site, with completion of the $27M project safely, on-time/under budget- Designed and implemented a successful employee incentive plan to increase production while decreasing safety and environmental incidents through increased employee engagement.

Managed installation of a new mining site that included: development and management of capital and operating budgets, mining area/plant site development, construction of a new concentrator and development of all associated infrastructure. Recruited, selected and hired all mining. Developed and implemented a training plan (in conjunction with Georgia QuickStart) for the newly hired workforce.
