I thrive off solving varied and complex problems. Maybe more important than my technical expertise, I listen, learn, lead, communicate, and mentor.I work very well under extreme pressure, and I mean this literally as I once rescued a scuba diver at 80 ft. deep. I have a large body of experience with data management and analysis, and I have rescued profits for a private company by fixing a loophole in their database. I saved my coworkers from drowning in data by creating multiple databases for a state agency. I helped my fellow teachers stay afloat by teaching the greatest variety of science classes. I wrote advanced SQL queries to extract data, find relationships, and modify tables for non-profits as a data analyst. I helped develop a data analytics program for a state-owned utility, building data pipelines, crunching numbers, training staff, building analytics tools, creating Data Governance standards, documenting best practices, creating technical documentation, using ML/stats to provide business insights, building APIs, building custom ETLs using Pentaho PDI or Python, creating BI dashboards, and creating Python web-framework templates for deployments. I have unraveled data from complex revenue generating processes leading to improvements. I really enjoy seeing the tangible impacts of my contributions.I'm perpetually learning, currently focusing on explainable AI. In the past, I've taught myself Python, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery, while improving my SQL skills and learning T-SQL. I took a deep dive into Python data science, utilizing NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Scikit-Learn among many other for days wrangling, analysis, visualizations, transformations, and machine learning through a certification course from Springboard. I've used these skills to create a predictive model that identifies patients more at-risk for Alzheimer's disease using a combination of classical statistics and machine learning algorithms, viewable at https://github.com/chuktuk in the Alzheimers_Disease_Analysis and Springboard_Portfolio repos.
