I joined Sterling Talent Solutions in 2014 after completing a 32 year career as a Regular Member with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. As Senior Advisor – Public Safety Information Management, I work closely with our Management Team and with our Account managers on aspects of the company’s products and services concerned with criminal record and police information.Prior to joining Sterlingts, I was the Director General of the Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS). Preceding this role, I served as the Director General of the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC). Before leading these programs within National Police Services, I held other national headquarters roles that included managing the RCMP’s occurrence records management systems. I led the operational implementation of the RCMP’s Police Reporting and Occurrence System and established national policy centers for the RCMP’s Operational Communications Centres and electronic Major Case Management software. My early career included operational policing duties in Alberta and British Columbia where I served Canadians at several detachments ranging from large municipal to limited duration posts.Many of my roles have included large supervisory and budgetary responsibilities. As a former police senior executive whose career has focused on public safety information systems and their operational use, I possess a unique and relatively rare experiential background. Associated with the various positions that I have held, I have served as the RCMP representative on the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) Police Information Statistics Committee, as the Systems Officer for Canada to the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Advisory Policy Board, as an RCMP representative on the CACP Information and Communications Technology Committee, and as the RCMP national representative on the PRIME BC Operations Committee.
