Assisting with recruiting of a variety of overseas positions

I was tasked with increasing the footprint within the military community and increasing veteran enrollment primarily in the Cell Tower Technician Certification Course. This included attending military job fairs, conducting battle assembly briefings and participating in local and national veteran outreach programs. I also worked with employers to secure commitments to accept graduating students as perspective employees after graduation.

As a partner in the Joining Forces Initiative as well as ESGR, Hero 2 Hired and U.S. Chamber's Hiring Our Heroes, BlueStream Professional Services has made a commitment to hire more veterans to join our organization than ever before. Part of my duties include but are not limited to:Prepare recruiting reports and identifying recruiting trends, sources, etc. • Analyze results of recruiting strategies.•Developed and implemented Military hiring and on boarding strategies nationally •Coordinate with department directors nationally for Military recruiting efforts •Coordinate with the Marketing Department to develop Military recruiting materials •Build relationships with state and local Veteran organizations, DOL and Workforce Development Agencies as well as Military bases for recruiting purposes•Insured all NG / Reserve employee's drill schedules to ensure they could meet their military obligations.•Worked directly within the DOL database to ensure all documentation was submitted on time to receive any and all tax credits available for hiring of veterans as well as maintained a financial spreadsheet to ensure proper data was available at the time of filing taxes.Accomplishments of our military initiative over 2 years include:Hired over 1400 veterans to fill positions that included:Human Resources, IT, Administrative, Cell Tower Technicians, DAS Field Technicians, warehouse workers, sales, finance and multiple Management / Executive PositionsWas able to secure VA approval for the OJT program for our entry level tower technician positions allowing veterans to utilize their GI Bill Benefits in order to receive additional money for a period of 18 months.Awards and recognition:Recognized by GI Jobs as a Top Military Friendly EmployerRecognized in 2014 by the ESGR & Office of Sec. of Defense for the efforts in employing veterans & awarded the Seven Seals Award as well as the Patriotic Employer Certificate

Assist military men and women who are preparing to transition out of the military to find a new career in the civilian sector. This is a very rewarding experience because it gives me an opportunity to give back to those who do so much for us every day. Military personnel are the most sought after group of individuals in the civilian and government workforce and it is a privilege to serve the needs of our military in this way.

Assume all managerial responsibilities in owning and operating a nightclub. This included but was not limited to: Hiring and training of staff, P&L assessment (which included maintaining a low liquor cost), budgeting, payroll, inventory, ordering of alcohol, and security. In addition I also coordinated and produced live entertainment (bands, professional comedians, etc) which included producing large theater entertainment (well known stars of comedy) on a quarterly basis with audiences of 2,000 and up.
