Web Developer

Appr

Worked on re-architecting single-page application (SPA) that serves as an online editor and live simulator for building iOS and Android mobile applications. The resulting code is much smaller, faster, and more efficient than the Kendo UI-based solution initially used.o Page thumbnail images are created on-the-fly by copying the HTML and using CSS transform to scale down. Had tried using canvas, but decided against it for performance reasons.o Uses current core JavaScript technologies, such as MutationObserver, ObjectObserver, Templates, and LocalStorage, with polyfills used when necessary. Observers are used to implement a custom data binding system that is tailored to our specific needs, but also flexible enough to be used elsewhere. LocalStorage is used to improve performance and provide a data backup solution. Experimented with IndexedDB and Promises before deciding against them.o Instead of creating routers that traditionally swap out complete “pages”, this architecture uses data attributes and basic CSS to re-use existing HTML.o The new SPA is usable on desktop systems, tablets, and phones.Implemented several redesigns of corporate web site using HTML 5, CSS, and some JavaScript.Improved and maintained a Kendo UI-based single-page application. Found and fixed many inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
