Played a lead role in designing the current generation of SOA services, and created and led the department Standards and Practices team.Specifically, I was the architect, project lead, and lead developer for the second-generation of Sports Connection — the exciting, convenient, and legal way to place sports wagers by telephone, personal computer or mobile phone from any jurisdiction in the country that allows it. In addition to completely rewriting the web application, we also added a brand new web service interface along with new iPhone and Android smart phone applications. I managed all of the development efforts including two outsourced teams for the web and smart phone development, and the internal team that developed the web service interface.I was also the architect, project lead, and lead developer for a Rules Engine, based on Windows Workflow, that allows the Marketing Department to create ad-hoc reward programs in a matter of minutes, that respond in real-time to events occurring on the casino floor.

Due to the state budget crisis, funding for these programs was cancelled and my position terminated.
