Colorado UpLift is a nonprofit youth service organization that teaches character, leadership, and life skills to urban kids in Denver & Aurora Public Schools. Our unique model uses full-time, salaried staff who teach and mentor kids starting in elementary school, continuing on to middle school, high school, and beyond! Colorado UpLift offers five program areas to students for a holistic approach to youth development: In School, After School, Adventure, Advanced Leadership and continued education after high school graduation. Overall, UpLift is a relational solution to the issues faced by underserved youth. • Managed Foundation and launched Student Success program for largest community college in the state with more than 30,000 students.• Provided more student scholarships in 3 years than in the previous 15 years combined. Launched and implemented proven and promising engagement practices to decrease both personal and academic barriers to student success. Identified as the one of the top performing programs in an external competitive analysis.• Increased contributions by 300% in three years – with significant increases in both unrestricted and restricted giving. Doubled the endowment. • Established collaborative partnerships across academic pipelines and other scholarship organizations to increase enrollment and completion rates among low-income and first-generation students.• Collaborated with Board of Directors to complete Foundation’s first strategic plan.

• Increased giving from $4 million to $10.9 million in one year. • Established individualized strategic cultivation plans for 200 top prospects. • Establish campaign readiness plan and prepared Daniels College to launch its first $100 million campaign. • Hosted the largest alumni event in Daniels history. • Managed operations budget of $700,000.

Lead integrated development and marketing program for national ministry dedicated to curing the world of leprosy. Manage ten staff including major gifts, planned giving, communications & marketing, direct response, computer operations, internet and new initiatives to raise awareness and over $6 million annually.

•Directly supervised 8 Regional Financial Development Officers. Increased annual giving in eleven states by 22%, from $80 to $98 million.•Served as Interim Director. Managed 48 development professionals and $4.8 million budget. Successfully led team through two senior leadership changes by increasing productivity and reducing the budget.•Led board of directors, volunteers and staff to raise more than $300 million for local, national, and international disaster relief operations and capital campaigns. •Led fund raising efforts of 2004 Hurricane Season, the second largest domestic disaster relief effort since 9/11. Planned and launched a $50 million nationwide campaign, raised $150 million.

•Strengthened the fund raising capacity of the American Red Cross in South Carolina by providing leadership and technical assistance to chapter paid and volunteer board leadership.•Developed and implemented fund raising campaign strategies, systems, and activities for forty-six chapters. Created the One-week Major Gift Campaign, a board-led major donor fundraising campaign, designed to spur individual fundraising and individual giving. Campaign was implemented in over 150 strategic chapters across the US.•Working with local boards and community volunteers, raised over $1.5 million in one week on two separate National Disaster Relief assignments.

•Created, planned, and directed all areas of fund raising including: finance committees, major donors, political action committees, special events and direct response programs for two successful campaigns.•Directed a staff of 12 and 300 community volunteers in nine counties.•Raised more than $2.5 million.
