• Reported to the CEO of Cyneta, leading initiatives in Service Quality Management products for the wireless industry. Specific technology included: content switching, session flow optimization, and service intelligence.
• Led the following organizations: Design, Test, and Field Deployment & Support. Optimized the organizational structure (India and U.S) to focus on key revenue generating products in GSM/GPRS and UMTS wireless data domain.
• Optimized key product platforms while retaining existing IPR to reduce COGS & increase margins.
• Developed key customer and partner relationships, successfully delivering product into Europe and China, resulting in a successful turn-around of the company and acquisition by Inet/Tektronix.

• As VP Engineering & Operations, reported to the CEO of ipMobile, built the organization to 100+ resources, delivered product to customer, culminated with an acquisition by Cisco.
• As Director Cisco Systems, transitioned the ipMobile organization into Cisco. Projects included wireless router development, RF traffic optimization, management of aggregate and user data flows based on QoS parameters.
• Granted 1 US patent and submitted 4 other patent applications in this area of technology.

• Reported to the SVP, Broadband Access and managed a team of 300 through eight direct reports. Organization spanned across four locations (Winnipeg, Montreal, Ottawa, Dallas), developing and delivering point to.
• Initiated appropriate process and controls to evolve the team from a start-up prototype focus into a strong client facing commercial focus. Transitioned prototype into high volume product.
• Led cross-functional teams to resolve product delivery, manufacturing, order fulfillment, and deployment issues. Customer commitments were achieved, COGS lowered, and margins increased.
• Produced product variants for EU and NA requirements; launched next generation product offering based on DOCSIS cable modem standard.

• Reported to the VP of North American Cellular Products and managed a multi-site team of 150 through nine direct reports. Led multi-site Engineering, Systems, Field Deployment, and Product Management organizations.
• Teamed with external partners and suppliers to create a “world class” product offering. Conducted field trials with prototype product, subsequently deployed major networks launching a $1 billion business.
• Built Nortel’s CDMA organization from 2 people to 250. Established process and procedures to ensure quick time-to-market and high quality solutions. Achieved product differentiation by establishing Systems Performance.

• Reported to the Director of Cellular Systems and managed a team of 60 through six direct reports. Led multi-site Engineering organization designing and delivering wireless products.
• Uniquely and quickly delivered Nortel’s Cellular Digital Packet Data product offering by re-engineering existing platforms. Built CDPD team from 0 to 30 resources. Hold a patent for the CDPD technology.
• Headed and delivered the joint product offering for the Motorola/Nortel Corporation.
• Coordinated activities between Montreal & Richardson to successfully deliver Nortel’s TDMA Digital Speech Peripheral Module.
• Created a multi-vendor cell site platform enabling control of disparate radio technologies and vendors.

Led a team of engineers developing a data packet switch/router for the enterprise networking market (OSI layers 1 through 4). Dramatically increased performance of initial product offering.

Led a team developing large-scale CRM database applications to support the Southwest Marketing Division headquarters using VM and CICS mainframe platforms. Received SWMD SE award for this effort.
