Dispatch appropriate, police, fire, and medical units.Assess reported situations and determine which emergency agency to contact for resolution of any emergency.Record details of all calls into a computer database and ensure that records are properly maintained and organized.Perform other related duties as requested, assigned or instructed.

Served onboard the USCGC Taney and also at Group Charleston SC. As a Radioman, some of my duties consisted of maintaining radio watches on emergency distress frequencies, answered calls from the public as well as military traffic. Maintained radio guard for USCG fixed wing and rotary aircraft in our area.
