I was responsible for the development, management, and reporting of all internal and external financial and operational metrics. In addition, I manage IT, Human Resources, Financial Aid, Admissions, and had operational responsibility for various regulatory, legal, and compliance matters. I directed all banking and financing relationships, strategic planning services as well as the annual financial and compliance audits. I also prepare all corporate tax return filings. Key accomplishments have included a strategic refocusing of personnel, programs, and facilities in a challenging educational environment resulting in significant cost savings, reduction in debt and reduced cycle times in various operational areas.

I managed the annual audits and prepared all corporate tax filings as well as was involved in developing internal reporting systems and metrics. In addition, I was instrumental in all external and regulatory reporting.

I managed all the tax service offerings for this local firm that was purchased by Barnes Wendling. The tax practice of this firm was focused on Middle Market clients and their owners and provided guidance and technical services related to both tax and operational issues. In addition, the firm was involved in various comprehensive tax planning services for clients in a wide array of industries.

I returned to Deloitte as an Audit Manager after having started my career as a Tax Manager with the firm. My focus was on Compilation and Review, special project, and other consultative and tax services performed for a wide array of clients in the Firm’s Small/Middle Market segment.

I managed this private wealth office for a family with significant operational involvement and investment in a local publicly held company. Activities included all accounting, year-end reporting, tax, tax and investment planning, and private banking issues for a variety of closely-held entities and development activities.
