Act as interim CFO for companies that are contemplating sale or restructuring transactions.Current engagement involves acting as transactional and then interim CFO for a $200 million high growth teen niche retailer operating 150+ stores and an e-commerce site (approximately 10% of revenue). Working as point person between investment banker and management during all phases of the transaction. Spent significant time “cleaning” up books and engaged a large accounting firm for a Quality of Earnings report which was incorporated into the company’s marketing documents including a Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM). Developed business go-forward financial models as well as assisting banker in development and drafting of CIM document for completed sales transaction of $145 million to a private equity firm and management. Acted as interim CFO for three months post transaction to help finance group transition to private equity environment.
