Help Iowa Vets is a national non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2016. We help the returning service men and women navigate the complexities of the VA mental health system. To hold their hand through the process and not let go until they have received satisfactory services. To provide a safe space for Veterans where reconstruction and reentry into society is reality. Getting into their own house and even start their own business or a new occupation.We are strongly committed to rebuilding lives and supporting the brave men and women who were injured while serving the country during time of the war. The organization builds or modifies homes for Veterans and their families. It's our honor to support the men and women who have loyally and courageously served our country.Preventing Suicide 22 Veterans die per dayIt's time to honor soldiers who gave their lives in service for their country. Some soldiers lost much of themselves in combat though they may have not lost their lives. Some have returned deadened and numbed to emotion, wracked with survivor guilt and images of what they witnessed. We still are losing 22 per day to suicide mainly because they are not getting the services they need.Total reconstruction of a Veteran and any life challenges they have including their family.

It all started here. I was a General Contractor since 1976 but in 1980 the economy was bad. So my brother talked me in to taking a look at one of the 1st personal computers ever! The Vic20. After 6 months of failing and testing and learning, I put my 1st add in the paper for $5. Computer Innovators was born and Mercy Hospital was the 1st to give me a shot and they ordered 5 programs. After my brother and I wrote them, I installed it and trained the Mercy Staff and they loved it. So I went on to writing a time tracking program for an attorney and some of the rest is also on this page.
