His role there is to mentor post-graduate researchers and post-doctorate scientists, helping them reframe their esoteric theses and dissertations in terms and language of private capital and industry audiences.He is a past Board Chairman and President of TCNewTech, a platform for innovation and economic growth in the Traverse City, MI region, a PFAS Water Issue Leader for AquaAction in Montreal, Quebec and a mentor for the Water Innovation Lab in Toronto, Ontario.In addition to environmental stewardship, Chuck has been active in long term affordable housing policy and short term shelter needs for the homeless. He also advocates within the criminal justice system for restorative justice programming, family support, and community education about alternatives to incarceration.He earned his bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies from The University of Chicago.
