Chuck is the Board Chair of Solve for X Impact Corporation, a nonprofit that aggregates and deploys private capital for environmental impact. The company uses various platforms to accomplish its funders' aims, including Program Related Investments, Joint Ventures, 501(c)(3)s, Benefit corporations, L3Cs, Public Private Partnerships, Qualified Opportunity Zone Funds, and other innovative models. He concurrently leads Solve for X, L3C, an environmental Social Enterprise specifically designed to integrate Philanthropic, Private Capital, Academic, and Industrial resources for technology commercialization. He is a vocal advocate for environmental stewardship, especially for fresh water ecosystems, and has led collaborative contract research initiatives on multiple topics.Chuck is an Industry Advisor at The University of Chicago – Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering. His role there is to mentor post-graduate researchers and post-doctorate scientists, helping them reframe their esoteric theses and dissertations in terms and language of private capital and industry audiences.He is a past Board Chairman and President of TCNewTech, a platform for innovation and economic growth in the Traverse City, MI region, a PFAS Water Issue Leader for AquaAction in Montreal, Quebec and a mentor for the Water Innovation Lab in Toronto, Ontario.In addition to environmental stewardship, Chuck has been active in long term affordable housing policy and short term shelter needs for the homeless. He also advocates within the criminal justice system for restorative justice programming, family support, and community education about alternatives to incarceration.He earned his bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies from The University of Chicago.
