As a Partner at DesignMap, I am responsible for our design practice. I set standards, train people to meet them, and review and produce first-hand the work that meets the very high bar we’ve set for our work at DesignMap. Beyond the quality of work we do, I am keen on our work making an impact. We design to make users’ lives better, and to further the success of our clients’ businesses. By combining a pragmatic approach with these high standards and the extraordinary team we’ve assembled and trained at DesignMap, we’ve been able to make key contributions to some of our clients’ huge successes, including several acquisitions — the Salesforce acquisition of ExactTarget for $2.5B being the one we’re particularly excited about. I also am proud of work we’ve done for some other innovative clients, including the eBay Previz team, Angie’s List, CARFAX, and The Bold Italic.Outside of work, surfing and cycling are important to my mental and physical health — and may contribute to my colleague’s gentle ribbing about my calm demeanor and “the zen of chuck”.
