Responsible for the startup and setup of the Hybrid Assembly Lab and of the Photolithography lab. Responsible for producing etched thin film circuits for prototypes. The capabilities of this quick turn prototype lab lead to the development of the first industry 10 gigahertz Hybrid Modulator Driver which exceeded $10 million in sales during the first year in production.

Responsible for the design, development and transfer to manufacturing of FORD EDIS and GM DIS ignition modules. These activities include participating and delegating team activities, in design reviews, documentation, process development, tooling design, capital equipment acquisition, and evaluating these products real time, in test vehicles. During the relocation and startup of this facility from Long Island, New York, to Orlando, Florida, I was charged with the installation of new and old equipment, along with the staffing and training of the manufacturing personnel. Startup functions included creating process controls, writing process procedures, creating new processes for the new equipment and designing new tooling as needed.

Responsible for all process engineering for the military thick and thin film hybrid chip and wire product line and the commercial surface mount product line. Developed Q-bit’s Low Cost Amplifier product platform which is similar to the chip scale packaging concept. This product platform is based on a unique thick film package concept I developed. Developed thick film fine line (.002" line and space) process and thru hole printing process. Responsible for all procedures and processes and equipment maintenance for thick and thin film board fabrication, die mount, automatic wire bonding, encapsulation, fine and gross leak, solder paste deposition, all reflow profiles, and cleaning. Supervises activities of technical staff.
