Worked as a technician for six more years and was then promoted to Optical Tooling where I manufactured ultra precise (<.003Micron tolerances) parts for molding machines. Also served as the computer programmer for the Optical tooling department where I migrated existing inventory control data from an HP Basic program to a Paradox database and then to an Access 2.0 format. I wrote both the Paradox and Access applications. To my knowledge the Access application is still in use.
