As CEO of Chiles Hospitality, Wolfe heads the executive team and leads the company’s efforts to broaden its strategic vision and develop new projects. Besides operating three restaurants on Florida’s Gulf Coast, Chiles Hospitality owns the organic Gamble Creek Farms, aquaculture businesses, and myriad real estate holdings, all with a focus on sustainability. Before taking the helm of Chiles Hospitality in December 2018, Wolfe was a co-founder and partner of Wolfe/Kinkennon, a strategic planning and leadership consulting firm. His career includes a12-year run (2003-14) as CEO of Victory Fund, a national advocacy group supporting LGBTQ candidates, and a seven-year stint (1992-98) as one of late Florida Gov. Lawton Chiles’ most trusted aides. Over the course of his career, Wolfe: • Was appointed by Gov. Chiles to lead Florida’s Hurricane Andrew relief efforts • Headed operations and logistics of Gov. Chiles’ 1994 re-election campaign and inauguration, respectively• Served as Gov. Chiles’ appointed executive director of the Miami Financial Oversight Board • Was appointed by Gov. Chiles to lead the Florida Tobacco Pilot Program, an anti-tobacco media initiative created in the wake of the state’s $11.3 billion settlement with big tobacco • Served as executive vice president and COO of the American Legacy Foundation, which launched the national “Truth” anti-tobacco campaign A native Floridian, Wolfe is a 1985 graduate of Stetson University in Deland, Fla., with a degree in political science, and he currently serves on the private college’s Board of Trustees and executive committee. He also serves on the boards of the Association of Innovation Managers and the Stonewall Museum of Archives. Travel, hiking, and horseback riding are among his favorite leisure activities.
