To many prospective and incoming students, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is their first and perhaps most important interaction with and impression of Illinois Tech. As a student ambassador, I welcomed students and families during daily visits, tours, our larger Discovery Days, as well as our two largest events, Scholarship Weekend and Preview Weekend. Interviews for prospective freshmen being considered for the University, Camras, Crown, and Duchussois Scholarships take place during scholarship weekend, while Preview Weekend is a valuable opportunity for incoming students to spend a night at IIT. During both of these events and throughout the school year, I hosted students for overnight visits. Additionally, over the summer, I gave tours of the campus, handled paperwork at the office, and organized visits and greeted families at our front desk.
