Born in the United Kingdom and raised between Nigeria and England, my artistic journey began at a young age under the guidance of my grandmother, who taught me the craftsmanship of true tailoring. This early exposure to fashion, combined with my talents in drawing and portraiture, laid the foundation for my illustrious career.I am the founder and creative visionary behind two distinctive brands: Chuks Collins “Couture” and TASOU (The Athletic Side of Us). Since launching Chuks Collins “Couture” in 2014, I have dedicated myself to creating high-fashion pieces that challenge norms and expectations through bold, elegant, and avant-garde designs. My work has graced the runways of New York Fashion Week and international fashion events, dressing celebrities such as Kerry Washington, Tamara Hall, Bailey Bass, Jonas Brothers, Jimmy Fallon, Thuso Mbedu, Quincy, Trevor Jackson, and Terence Nance.In 2021, I introduced TASOU, a sustainable lifestyle brand that merges athletic wear with everyday fashion, reflecting my philosophy of achieving a balanced life. Through TASOU, I proudly support the Irede Foundation in Nigeria, providing prosthetic care to children with limb loss.Beyond fashion, I am deeply passionate about visual arts. My pencil portraits and multidimensional creations capture profound emotions and tell stories that resonate personally and universally. I also bring extensive experience in branding and creative consulting, collaborating with renowned brands such as Guinness, VICE, Design Bridge, Capital One, and Ralph Lauren.My work is driven by a belief that creativity should benefit the world. Through my non-profit organization, Fashion Vie, I strive to uplift communities and support causes close to my heart. Currently, I am the designer in residence at Berkeley College, amplifying experiential learning for students. Continuous business development, clientele growth, and business management when not working directly with clients.New York-based fashion designer Chuks Collins launched the brand in 2006, originally Kholyns Couture and then transitioned to Chuks Collins in 2015, to live out his dream to create garments for men and women that choose to live every moment as if it is their last. After the designer’s fashion career nearly came to an end following a car crash that caused near-fatal kidney failure and other medical complications, he chose to exceed everyone’s expectations and become a success. He chose to take this new chance on life and use it to fuel his drive for excellence and his passion to create beauty.
