About Brian Chum
My unique education and experiences over the past 10+ years have trained me to have the critical thinking skills of a data analyst, the problem solving skills of a system administrator, the operational efficiency of a business analyst, and the success-driven decision making of a project manager.In the innovative technology industry, I found my calling. I worked in 4 different divisions of IT, Helpdesk, Server Infrastructure, Project Management, Business Analysis, and Data Analysis in order to become well rounded. One of my favorite projects was the design and implementation of an business intelligence application. Understanding that we wanted to further strengthen how our sales team interacts and utilizes their sales data, we deployed Salesforce Einstein. I designed the dashboards, scrubbed the data using dataflows, and completed enablement videos for users across our entire sales Org. This suite of dashboards allowed our executives to collaborate and communicate with their entire teams globally.As a data analyst, I have been able to work with data architecture, data governance, data analytics, and data visualizations using a wide-array of applications: Excel, Tableau, Einstein, Salesforce Wave, Salesforce Classic, and SQL/SAQL/JSON. As a system administrator, I have been able to refine my infrastructure and support practices for a wide-array of applications: Salesforce, naturalForms, Intranet, Five9, Druva, and Aprima. As a business analyst, I am able to sift through an aggregation of processes to create a cohesive and efficient workflow. Although personal growth is very important, the growth of my colleagues is also a priority. I have always believed that a strong and devoted team is the first step to success. When a leader is the commander and a private, there is a dynamic shift that drives team success rather than individual survival. To promote a team-based environment, I make sure to provide feedback in the form of notes and emails.
