With over ten years of experience in higher education, I am passionate about creating holistic and inspiring learning experiences that engage and empower learners. I have a Ph.D. in biology specializing in comparative and integrative physiology, and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in education with a focus on online teaching and learning.At the University of Waterloo, I apply sound user experience (UX) and learning experience design (LxD) principles to design authentic, inspiring, and effective online learning solutions for employee learning. I also serve as a board member at eCampusOntario, representing the student and university perspectives on online education. In addition, I am a guest lecturer at York University.When I am not immersed in the world of education, I enjoy being a science illustrator and producing electronic music.
