The Heard is a non-profit organization currently operating in Vĩnh Long, Vietnam committed to the support and development of under-resourced communities. Our mission is to give a platform to those without a voice, so they can be heard.In the Fall of 2023, we had the privilege of interviewing four families in the Vĩnh Long province. Our primary focus currently is to create a community and scholarship fund for the families and children we work with. This fund will be used to provide medical assistance and ensure stable access to resources and education. As most of the families struggle financially, we plan on assisting them in becoming self-sustainable by developing their businesses. Our long-term vision entails extending our operations throughout Vietnam and the world. Our ultimate goal is to establish schools in underprivileged communities to facilitate the pursuit of learning and creativity without social or economic barriers

Food is a key way of understanding a culture and an even better way to create meaningful relationships. We want to quite literally 'break bread' with our peers and engage with our student body through a shared enthusiasm and curiosity of our respective cuisine and cultures. Trying different or new foods can be a whole adventure, it can be daunting yet very exciting. We want to encourage people to open their minds to trying new things because after all you never know what you'll really like until you try it. Our main initiative is to spark conversation, in a world that nowadays is so divided and defined by labels, we wanted to create an open atmosphere where people can transcend cultural barriers and truly get to know one another. We want to break the ice to initiate a more engaging dialogue where people from all walks of life can come together to share and discuss their cultures, values, passions and just have a good conversation.

Co-founded a streetwear brand as first-generation Asian-Americans to pay homage to our ethnic heritage and the immigrant experiences of our families. Our goal was to recognize the perseverance and resilience of our families who endured countless challenges to help us succeed. Our business grossed over $10,000 in sales, expanding to other states across the nation.
