Born in Hong Kong, classical saxophonist Chung Him Chu has extensive performing experience across three continents. As a chamber musician, Chu has performed with various ensembles such as the Indiana University Philharmonic Orchestra. He recorded CD album “Celebrare” with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Wind Symphony, produced by Klavier Music Productions was released in 2016. His touring projects include concerts in Australia and China, one project included a radio broadcast with the Coil Saxophone Quartet at ABC Radio Sydney.Chu holds a Master of Music degree in saxophone performance and a Bachelor of Music (Performance) degree in saxophone from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and University of Sydney, Sydney Conservatorium of Music respectively. He served as a graduate assistant in the woodwind department during his study at Jacobs School of Music. His teachers have been Otis Murphy and Michael Duke.
