Message from Brent Cubis, Group CFOYou may not be aware, but after a long and successful career with Cochlear, Chun Ng has decided to move on after 12.5 years. When he started here we were in 10 offices (now 30) and we had just acquired CBAS! Little did he know he would end up spending a big portion of his career in CBAS – where he was a key member of Tony Manna’s team helping that business through some challenging times. He returned to Sydney and worked with the Manufacturing and Logistics team under Dig helping them on a number of projects we are seeing the benefits from today, including working with the SVP to set up the Warranty & Repair team and embed the Global Repair Centre (in Malaysia) before moving into his current role. He has done an excellent job building the Global Business Controllership team and improving the business partnering (including improved budget, 5 yr plan and helping on Integrated Business Planning roll-out). I will personally miss Chun’s enthusiasm, hard work and willingness to try new things to help improve how we work for the benefit of our customers (internal & external). On behalf of all the team please join me in wishing Chun well in his next career step (as a Divisional CFO for an ASX listed health insurance coy) and to his family. Chun will be here till Xmas so we will make sure he gets a good send off as he deserves and let you know.
