• Characterized polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies for common cold rhinovirus by Western Blot, ELISA, and neutralization assays for vaccine development.• Purified and characterized various anti-norovirus monoclonal antibodies and virus proteins to identify neutralizing episodes of norovirus capsid proteins and mechanism of antibody escape.• Successfully crystallized an anti-norovirus antibody Fab and 2.5 Å structure was generated.• Maintained tissue cultures, expressed and purified viruses and antibodies for different projects.

• Led protein biochemistry efforts for nuclear receptor group and developed Scintillation Proximity Assay (SPA), Fluorescence Polarization (FP) ligand binding,TR-FRET and AlphaScreen based cofactor peptide recruitment assays for multiple nuclear receptor projects. Helped advanced 3 DAGR compounds and 1 MR compound into clinic testing. • Purified GST-FXR protein with high purity in short time for the project and developed biochemical peptide recruitment assay with the protein. Assay used as primary assay for project. • Developed cell-based Aldosterone assay using radioimmunoassay in H295R Adrenal cell line and identified new compound devoid of blood pressure side effects seen with Torcetrapib for further clinical trial as well as mediator of this side effect. Received Individual Performance Award from VP CVMED Research and results were published in the Endocrinology. Publication also received award from Pfizer, INC.• Identified natural and novel ligands for an orphan nuclear receptor with no known ligand by developing a project critical TR-FRET based cofactor recruitment assay and verifying the assay using other biochemical means such as GST-pull down. First crystal of the receptor was generated with ligands and peptide identified by the assay. Received Individual Performance Award from Project Leader.• Evaluated role cofactor protein played in inflammatory response by using shRNA knock down and developing a stable knock-down cell line.• Identified new target genes by DNA-protein interaction using gel mobility shift assay, helped to identify mechanism of gene regulation for two nuclear receptors. Published in Molecular Endocrinology.• Conducted cell-based Gal4 co-transfection assays for selectivity evaluation for nuclear receptor projects. • Conducted cell-based cytokine (IL6) assay using Meso Scale technology in A549 cells for anti-inflammatory response.
