• Designed Solid Lipid Nanoparticle (SLN) based colloidal system for improved lymphatic delivery of lipophilic nutraceutical (delta-tocopherol)- Optimized the formulation and processing conditions of delta-tocopherol loaded SLN- Characterized SLN stability in simulated gastric and intestinal environments by in vitro digestive models- Used in vivo animal models to test the lymphatic availability and tissue distribution of delta-tocopherol- Achieved enhanced lymphatic delivery and overall bioavailability of delta-tocopherol with developed SLN system• Developed a nanoemulsion based delivery system for high crystalline bioactive compound (Nobiletin, a major polymethoxyflavone extracted from orange peels) to increase its solubility, bioavailability and bioefficacy- Utilized polyethoxylated castor oil (CrEL) as an excipient to reduce the crystallinity and increase the solubility of Nobiletin- Applied multiple food-grade emulsifiers to stabilize Nobiletin-loaded O/W nanoemulsions- Modified chemical structure of Nobiletin to 5-demethyl Nobiletin for improved bio-functions- Determined bioaccessibility and permeability of Nobiletin/5-demethyl Nobiletin in both unformulated and nanoencapsulated forms by simulated in vitro digestion and Caco-2 cell monolayer models
