• Conducts assessments of reporting entities in financial sectors subject to the supervisory functions of the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada, recommending appropriate outcomes which reflect up-to-date interpretation and application of the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and associated regulations.• Conducts research and analysis to formulate input for revisions and additions to Canada’s anti-money laundering and anti terrorist financing legislation, taking into account multiple policy outcomes and future legal interpretations that can impact Canada’s financial sector and international partners.• Develops and tests the application of new regulatory policies and compliance review methodologies for sub-sectors of newly regulated financial entities which include securities dealers, virtual currency asset providers, cryptocurrency exchanges, and payment service processors.• Conducts supervisory assessments and produces detailed finding reports on the AML/ATF compliance programs of large financial entities such as banks and credit unions.
