Lamba Labs 2-month capstone project: “TeamReel”: Built a full MVP product to help job seekers practice video interviewing, get feedback and improve. Led the machine learning and data engineering team, building out: (1) ML side: a series of machine learning models that give automated interview feedback on users’ video interviews (mine were a facial features tracking model and a facial expression sentiment analysis model); (2) a system for tracking and analyzing human interview feedback to pair with the ML automated feedback; and (3) deployment side: deploying these models on AWS as a microservices-style pipeline with an ML prediction API (outlined below).How it worked:When a user recorded a new video interview in response to a prompt in our front end iOS app or web interface, our back-end infra would call this ML API to access our multiple models for feedback on the video interview. Deployment: Videos stored in Amazon S3 data lake & user/video info stored in main PostgreSQL operational database -> SQS queue-> AWS Lambda function -> calls API endpoints to get predictions from each of our ML models -> store prediction results in main operational PostgreSQL database for the app/web front end to display to our users visually.
