* Hired and lead a team of ~20 developers, both locally and remotely (in the Indonesia office).* Scaled meta-search engines that handle 30,000 hotels searches and 50,000 flights searches a day.* Designed an iPhone app prototype that does Flights and Hotels metasearch.* Come up with ideas of making software development fun and productive for a rapidly growing team with a mix of experienced and rookie developers.* Facilitate smooth flow of work and ideas between business stakeholders, product managers, project managers and developers, and resolve conflicts (i.e. “management”).

* Orchestrated and implemented a rewrite of Java and PHP-based webapps to Ruby on Rails apps that are localized into 30+ languages and serving 50+ sites. The same apps serve partner distribution sites like the travel sections of Yahoo!, MSN, News.com.au.* Implemented client-side JavaScript with plain old JavaScript and jQuery for a highly interactive search results page. Remember that this was before we had cool stuff like Ember, Angular and Backbone that do a lot of the heavy-lifting.* Virtualized bare metal servers with KVM and Xen prior to migration to the cloud.* Migrated server infrastructure from a physical datacenter to Amazon Web Services. We were no longer crippled by the painful process of server procurement and physical setup and could scale horizontally with ease.

* POJO services that communicated via JMS (we use MQs and Lingo), and partner integrations via consuming APIs and screen-scraping.* Lots of AJAX and JavaScript.* Built a Ruby on Rails reporting application for internal users and affiliates.* Built Ruby on Rails-based travel deals section and CMS for importing deals and publishing feeds, for affiliates and internal use.

I build iPhone apps and Rails apps. It's not a registered business, I'm still building on some ideas I have and taking on freelance projects.I publish iPhone apps to the App Store under Slice of Life Apps. My 1st app made it to the top of the App Store in Singapore.
